Musical Thread is real time music interface using conductive thread and midi control program. Combining knitting wool and conductive thread changes their resistance value once it is twisted, stretched or loosen. The various resistance values has been mapped with 14 different notes, so people can perform as they touch the threads. Musical Thread basically designed to play the 3 instruments, but people can change their instruments in real time through connecting with Occam and Ableton Live Suite V8. At the same time, using potentiometer, we made little knob to turn the sound on/off and change tempo.
